Infrastructure
The PPGEC has its main operating structure located in the building of the Center for Environmental Education, Science and Mathematics (CEAMECIM) at FURG, being used for teaching, research, outreach and management activities. The program's general office room (with 16 m²), research group rooms, a room for students (8 m²), a small storeroom (6 m²) and a Loan Center (16 m²) are located here. At Ceamecim, there is a circulation space of 190m², five bathrooms, a small 8m² pantry, in addition to 10 residence halls for professors and research groups and four classrooms with varying capacities (two for 32 people; one for 50 people and another for 26 people). In total, the entire building is approximately one thousand m².

The Loan Center serves both graduate students and undergraduate students and teachers in the Basic Education network. The Collection includes around 5,000 books and 100 teaching materials (games, models, experimental kits, among others). In addition to this loan center, the University's central library is dedicated to serving all undergraduate and graduate courses, bringing together a collection of books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs, databases, maps, works in Braille , among others, which covers the different areas of knowledge.

Laboratories
As teaching laboratories, there is the space for the Mathematics and Physics Teaching Laboratory (Lemafi) with 46m², the Chemistry and Biology Laboratory (LabQBio) with 30m², the Computer Laboratory (Labin) with 54m² and 20 computers connected to the internet and a space for a 7m² Biological Collection. These specific spaces, such as the Loan Center, Labin, Lemafi, LabQBio and the Biological Collection, also serve Basic Education teachers who use the materials and structure with their students by appointment. Of the permanence rooms, eight allocate some of the research groups working at the PPGEC-FURG – Ceamecim, GESE, EAD-TEC, GEECAF, REPES, NUEPEC, PEmCie, CIEFI groups. These rooms vary in size (from 12m² to 40m²) and in their entirety have tables and chairs for meetings, computers with internet access, printers, multimedia devices and book collections that also vary according to the physical space, from 120 to 1200 copies in each room. As it is a program that brings together different Academic Units, such as the Institute of Education (IE), the Institute of Computational Sciences (C3), the School of Chemistry and Food (EQA) and the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics (IMEF ), four research groups have meeting spaces located in these Units, such as GEPQC, FORPPE, EduEst and NAUTEC. These also have space for group meetings with computers connected to the internet, printers, a collection of books, as well as more specific resources such as high-resolution cameras, digital whiteboards, tablets and television.
